You Are Monsterific!

Quick post today!  This image is from Bugaboo Digital Stamps called "Make It Snappy- Monsterific".  Thought it might be a fun card to say "thank you" and to get someone to smile (I mean who doesn't love googly eyes!?)  Anywhoooo, the image was colored with Copics- sorry no specifics, can't seem to find the piece of paper that I wrote them down on...

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Cherry Bird

Quick post and color up today!  This image comes to you from Bugaboo Digi Stamps called Cherry Bird.  She's a cutie and would be perfect for a card for a super cool friend- I will have to see if I have any paper that could really make this image shine (Who am I kidding?  I probably do!! He! He!)!

*On a side note, I am still sticking with my "I will not buy any new paper this year" New Year's Resolution!  It is absolutely one of the hardest things I have EVER done- especially when there is so much cuteness out there just begging for me to get a hold of it and create!

Deep breath...I have beautiful paper here and perfectly acceptable for a card...

All I have to say is come December- Watch Out Santa!  My list is gonna be huge!)

I digress...Here are the Copics used on this image:
Bird: B24, 01, W2, 0
Hat, Glasses, Butterfly: C10,8,7,6,5,1, R27, 24, Y38, 15 (White Gell Pen)

Lulu Loves Poppies- The Finished Product

Recently, I have been working on the 30 Day Color Challenge found here.  I love this time because it forces me to do something I loooove and get a ton of coloring done!)  This colored image was shown at a previous post for the 30 Day Challenge, but the finished product was not.  I needed a card for my sister's bridal shower, but wanted something non traditional- I think this is it!

Copic Colors Used
Her hair has black gel pen on it.  The flower in her hair with the pearl and the pearls on the card are all Queen and Co.  The papers... OOHHHHH THE PAPERS!! They are from the delicious 6x6 stack from MME called Sunshine.  The black flower centers on her shoes are black pearl pen.  The ribbon in actually flipped upside down (the other side says "bloom" with bright yellow flowers- definitely not right for this card)- it was in my scrap ribbon pile.  The centers of the flowers have gold Stickles on them with black gel pen dots.  I love her and needless to say, it's perfect for my sister too!)

I could have put a sentiment on it, but for everything I tried nothing worked.  Finally, I asked my husband what he thought and he said, "Why does it need a sentiment?  It looks fine the way it is."  I tell you that guy is a genius!)

I'm entering this into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly- Trio-Tastic (ribbon, pearls and a Copic colored image)
Simon Says Stamp- Wednesday Challenge- Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday- Challenge #379- Stars and/or Stripes
Seven Kids College Fund- Challenge #128- Anything Goes

30 Day Coloring Challenge- Day 24

A quick post today... I have a folder with images that have been stamped and/or printed and are ready to color.  While I've colored her before, it has been a while. This cutie is from Lili of the Valley Rubber Stamps.  I don't see her on their site anymore, but perhaps you might find something else to suit your fancy!  I think I'm going to cut her out using circle dies and mount her on an easel card (stay tuned!).

Here are the Copics used:
Dog: W6,2,0
Girl: Face E11, 00,000
Hair/ Shoes: E34,37,29
Dress:  BG 10,11,13,15,18

30 Day Coloring Challenge- Day 22

This weekend I carved out a bit of time to color this cute Wizardette found here over at the TiddlyInks store.  I had the markers out from my last coloring/post and fell in love with the paper I have (wait until you see that deliciousness!!!) and decided to color her similarly to the LuLu image I posted.

DISCLAIMER:   Let's just say I am not great at coloring hair...I've tried and this is a bit of an improvement from when I started Copic coloring, but for some reason it is so hard for me to get the added dimension that so many others possess in the Copic coloring world! It's a work in progress- perhaps I should leave the coloring a little lighter, I don't know...  I'm really not trained at this at all so, the practice continues...

The Copics used are shown here and the pencil you see in there is Prismacolor Sepia- ENJOY!)

30 Day Color Challenge- Day 20- LuLu Loves Poppies

I loooove this stamp!  It's called Lu Lu Loves Poppies and can be found at the Stamping Bella store.  She's not totally finished yet, but I thought I would share the process of coloring her (she still needs a little more pizzazz, but you'll have to wait for the entire card to see that!)  I stamped her twice, fussy cut the entire first image and fussy cut just the flowers on the second, added some dimension and...WALA! A super cool image!  I colored her specifically for some great paper I have!
Once the card is up I'll give more details on the image!  Enjoy!

Get Well Soon!

Hey there- two posts, one day?!  Crazy right?  This one is for a few challenges...

There are cards I create and then save for the right challenge and this one seems to fit the bill for a few this week.  This image is from Digital Delights by Looby Lou called "Heroic Henry" and can be found here.  I actually made this for someone that just had surgery- the inside says something to the affect of "I hope you get your Super Powers back real soon"!  I colored it with Copic markers (if I can find the sheet that has the colors I will edit the post later) and Stickles were used on the emblem on his chest.  The sentiment is from the Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons website found here.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
The Ribbon Girl- June Anything Goes (Masculine Project)
Loves Rubberstamps Challenge #156- Masculine Theme
Papertake Weekly- Ohhh so pretty - gotta love those Stickles:)
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge- Use Your Favorite Technique/ Product- I loooove Copic coloring!
Cute Card Thursday-Challenge #378 Add A Quote - I'm sure some super hero somewhere has said this once or twice! LOL!
Little Miss Muffet Challenge #114- Anything Goes

Howdy!

Long time no post!  Yes I am still participating in the 30 day coloring challenge, it just seems that life gets in the way...  It took me 5 days to color up 2 of these cuties!  Right now I am in the midst of Father's Day preparations, two birthday parties, my sister's wedding shower followed by her bachelorette- this summer is already exhausting and 4th of July is not even here yet!

I digress!  This is the first time I've colored up this image and sorry to say, I've had the stamp for a while!  Like I said, I use the 30 Day Challenge to do some coloring that wouldn't otherwise get done and try out some new stamps (err... old ones...).  The image is from the Nellie Snellen Young Rebel series called Revolver Hero.  I purchased it at my local stamp store soooo you might have to Google it.  He turned out SUPER cute!  I can't wait to put this together on a card!

Here are the Copic colors I used:
Face:  E11,00,000 R20

Terrier Love

This card image comes to you from Tiddlyinks.  The image can be found here and it is FREE!  Head on over, because I know once you're there, you'll find at least a hand full of  other images you "need"- lol!!

I think this is one of my most favorite color combinations- black, white and red!  The sentiment is from Stampabilities and the image was colored with Copics.  I actually used my black glaze pen and white Jelly Roll pen on their snouts and eyes.  A little Xmas Red Stickles was used on her collar.  The paper is from a Teresa Collins 6x6 paper pad called "Christmas Home", a few red gems from studio 18 and some red and white baker's twine round out the card:)  Hope you enjoy it!

Copics Used:

30 Day Color Challenge- Day7

Same image as yesterday, but a little different.  I was inspired by this post.  The idea was to think out of the box when coloring a particular image.  Yesterday's tulips were red, today's multi-colored.   I'm going to cut this image out so no worries on the pot that was colored outside the lines!  Enjoy!

Copics Used:
Flowers: R8,17,27,29,89
V05, RV55,52 Prismacolor: Dark Purple
V04,15,17 Prismacolor: Violet
Y08,18,19 Prismacolor: Yellow Orange

30 Day Color Challenge- Day 5!

Soooo, it took me two days to color this image- I really took my time getting the shading right!  This is another of Sandy Allnock's images from her EduDigi Series found here.  Copic reds can be tough to use, but I've been playing around with Copics for a few years now and have a pretty good handle on it.  I'm really taking this 30 day challenge to practice shading.  If you notice, the flower pot lines have been colored over- I am cutting this entire image out, so it really won't matter.

Here's the Copic colors used:
Flowers:  R8,17,27,29,89
Greenery:  YG 45,67,G07
Flower Pot:  W2,3,5

Have a Super Day! (Da, da, da, daaaa!)

Good morning everyone!  Posting a card today with a SUPER sweet image from Digital Delights by Looby Lou called Captian Colin found here.   The sentiment is also from Pretty Paper Graphics found here.  Colored him up with Copics and used Stickles in the center of the shield and helmet.  I also popped the sentiment with a little bit of adhesive foam.  Those papers??? Ummm,,, Hmmm...  I can't quite remember- if I do I'll edit the post later...

30 Day Color Challenge- Day 2

I colored these beauties up yesterday.  They are another of the digital stamps in Sandy Allnock's EduDigi series- you can find it here.  In the perfect world, I would have every Copic marker and all would be well in the universe!  Alas, I do not and had to put my thinking cap on as to how to get a little more dimension and shading... enter my trusty Prisacolor Pencils!  Sometimes when I can't control the shading on an image or don't have all the markers I need, I turn to the pencils.  If you zoom in on the image, I wrote out all the colors that I used.  For the stamen of the flowers I used my black Glaze pen (on the dark purple flowers I don't know why the middle flower is coming out with white on it...I think it might have to do with the lighting)...but now looking at it, maybe I'll add little white dots to the inside edges- it doesn't look that bad!  Kinda looks like pollen...Yes!  That's it! It's pollen!!

I absolutely LOOOOVE the way they came out and am looking forward to using them on a card- stay tuned...

It's here...!

It's here and I am super stoked!  The 30 Day Coloring Challenge!  Haven't heard about it?  You've got to check out Kathy's daily blog here.  I really enjoyed the last time I took the challenge- granted I didn't color every day for 30 days, but I did get quite a bit of coloring done.   All the challenge "rules" are on her blog and I use the word "rules" lightly- you do what you need to do.  I liked this challenge because A.) It forced me to carve out time in my day to do what I love (it was like there was a little Copic marker on my shoulder reminding me that the challenge was in effect) and B.) I really did get quite a few images colored and now when I need to create a card I can just go pull an image- sweet right?

I'm going to lead off with this card that I made- With Sympathy.  Aughhh, I hate making sympathy cards, but they are essential and I never seem to have one on hand when I need it, SOOOO I whipped up three of them!  The digital image is from Sandy Allnock's digital image series called EduDigi- you can find that here.  She actually has them ON SALE (use code 30DAY2)!!!  Totally worth it- you thought you knew everything about Copic markers?  Been coloring awhile and aren't sure it is for you?  WRONG!  It's totally worth it!

These flowers are really beautiful and the layout on this card has been kept quite simple.

Copics Used:
Flower (inside) Y2,6,17,V25
Flower (outside) Y2,8,BV01
Stems YG95,G99
Flower Pot E35,39,18

¡Gracias!

Hey there!  It's been a while since I last posted.  I must say the reason is... I am newly addicted to Pinterest!!!  My hubby got me hooked- AUGHHHH!  I have now had to limit my time to a 1/2 hour in the morning, otherwise there is a chance that showering might be delayed...

Anyhooo- here's my post, a quick "thank you" card.  Papers are from a 6x6 paper pad from Echo Park called Ambrosia and sentiment is from Stampabilities.  That butterfly is from a Martha Stewart punch.  Pretty simple and can you believe no colored image (GASP!).  It's so unlike me!

Have a Rockin' Birthday!

I have a super quick post today!  I made this card for a special someone on their birthday and I think it turned out cute.  If you know anything about the way I design a card, I LOOOOVE paper and layers.  The paper used on this card is from MME's Lime Twist collection called "Fly a Kite".  I have loved this pack so much that I only have 2 full 6x6 sheets left and some scraps!  Perhaps I'll find a use on the next card and finish that baby up (remember, still holding true to my New Year's Eve resolution- I'm not buying any paper this year!)  Considering it is May, I don't think I'm doing too bad!

Onward... the image is from Bugaboo Digital Stamps called Rock Star Boy.  It was colored with Copic marker and yellow Stickles were added to the stars.  My favorite part of the image?  I really like how I colored his sunglasses- the 80's called and wanted their sunglasses back- LOL!!

Copics Used:
Hair:  YR 20,21,23, E33
Glasses: C7,8,10, B28,V17,V04
Pants:  V17, 04
Shirt: YG 67,25,23
Sneakers:  B24,26
Guitar: Shoot!  I forgot to write those colors down!
This card just won  over at Bugaboo Stamps!

May Flowers

Hope this card finds you enjoying your day!  It's pretty rainy here and I just heard thunder- today is an excellent day for a nap!! This card is pretty simple- in fact, it was made for Operation Write Home.  No glitz, no glamour, just pure coloring!  I used my scraps which I have been trying to do since my "I will not buy paper this year" New Year's resolution and I haven't bought a sheet since December!  If you saw what I have you would just shake your head...

Anywhooo, the reason for no glitter is found here on the OWH Guidelines Page.  The stamp used is from Lili of the Valley called Primulas and Bluebells and the sentiment is from Wild Rose Studio.  I have no idea about the paper (like I said all scraps), but I do have details on the coloring...

Copics Used:

Happy Birthday!

Hello all you scrap happy scrappers!  I'm in a lovely mood today because it is BEA-utiful outside!  I'm going to make this a quick post and then head out and enjoy this awesome weather before the rain comes in.

Today's card has a super cute Tiddlyinks image called Annie's Prezi (looks like you can't buy her individually anymore, but you can have her in the Annie Mega Pack!  She's been colored with Copic markers (deets down below) and uses a few different papers- MME Lost and Found 6x6 paper pack (Blush), MME Everyday Basics 6x6 paper pack and SEI Jocelyn Pink Riot paper.  A bit of Bo Bunny pink pearl pen was used and black gel pen.

Copic Used:
Skin:  Eooo,Eoo, E11

Easter Bonnets

Hey all!  Just a quick post today!  This image is a Besties Image from Sherri Baldy.  I've had it for I think 2 years now and have waited for the right creative juices to color it. It is the Easter season and these two look like sisters ready for the Easter parade in their super cute bonnets and outfits!)

While sticking with my "I will not buy any paper this year" New Year's resolution, I was going through my matstacks and came across this one called Lemon Flower from DCWV.  I actually colored up three of these images (took me 2 days) to go along with this paper- all the images look the same, but the paper use and card design is just a little different.  The pearls used are from Queen & Co. called "Nightfall".  The green little gem in her hat is from my stash.  Ice White Pearl Pen was used on her necklace.

Here are the Copic colors I used:

Is it Spring yet?!

The sun is shining here, but it is soooo deceiving- only 28 degrees!  Yesterday it snowed- like everyone else, I'm done with snow!  The pond in our backyard is slowly starting to melt and believe it or not- I can see grass!!  It's brown and muddy, but I can see it!

Today I'm sharing a card with you that I absolutely love!  I found the tutorial for the card here.   She's got some pretty cool tutorials, so if you are looking for something new or unexpected to try, take a peek!

This card is called a Napkin Fold Card and as soon as I saw the tutorial I knew this would be something a kid would love!  In fact, I made it as a "thank you" for my friend's boys as they have been sharing their toys with my son.  They live by a creek and I new frogs are boy friendly so I gave this a try.

I used a TiddlyInks image called Little Hopper- Toadally Amazing.  I colored him with Copics (yeah, I didn't write those down- whoops!), used some Stickles for the glitter on the body and used Glossy Accents on the eyes.  The paper comes from Me & My Big Ideas- Mambi Sheets.

I know it looks complicated, but give it a try- the tutorial gives great instruction!  Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Mom!

I made this card a while back for my mom's birthday and quick took a picture of it before I dropped it into her gift bag!  It's a super sweet image from the Wee Stamps Collection for Whimsy Stamps.  It's called Amy and it can be found here.  I wish I had taken better care of the coloring/ designer paper details, but, like I said, I snapped the pic just as it was going in the gift bag... sorry!  I do know that the sentiment is from Wild Rose Studio .

Tiddlyinks Birthday Card!

We've seen a million of these before- birthday cards!  There is something about this card though that I just love!  Let's start with the image called Monstruous Party.  For monsters, these guys are pretty sweet! Love them and they are not scary at all!  I colored them using my Copics and Prismacolor pencils (deets down below).  The sentiment is from Stampabilities (Happy Birthday 09).

The paper... ALL TIME, HANDS DOWN, FAVORITE STACK!!  It is from the Paper Studio over at your local Hobby Lobby called "Cosmic Whammy".  If ever you wanted really fun, primary colored paper, this is it!  There is even foil paper in the stack which I used on this card.  The dark blue cardstock is from Stampin' Up (Night of Navy).  A little bit of orange Stickles is used on the balloon.

Cooool!  This card was one of The Pink Elephant's Unforgettables AND it is one of the Fabby Friday picks over at TiddlyInks!

Mmmmm- Cupcakes!

The inspiration for this card came from "Cupcake Inspirations" (Go Figure- LOL!)  Cherries happened to be the focus of the cupcakes and I had just the stamp!  It's an oldie but a goodie in my collection from Lili of the Valley.  I haven't clored it in awhile, so I thought it might be fun to have another go with it!

I don't see this actual stamp on their site anymore (there are a bunch of other really cute mice stamps though!!!!) , but the sentiment stamp can be found here if you are interested.

The papers are all My Mind's Eye, but from two different packs- Stella Rose and Collectable.  Love, love, love them!!  The card was colored with Copic Markers and Glossy Accents was used on the frosting while red Peal Pen was used on the cherries.  Tim Holtz Distress Ink was used around the image and sentiment.

Here are the details on the Copics:

Bestie Bee

I know, I'm posting a bit, but like I said in my first post of the year, my MOJO was zero for 2014... Look out 2015!!

This cute image is a Bestie digi- she's a cute little bee holding a basket of love.  I just sent this card out last week for a friend's birthday.  Sorry I'm not posting any specific info. about the card- I colored this eons ago before I started writing down Copic colors.  The papers are three different companies I know for sure- they are all from my scrap stash.  I do know that ribbon came on from Talbot's- yes the clothing store (I save ribbon that could potentially be used on a card).

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:

You are UDDERLY amazing!

Two posts in the same month? Now that's UDDERLY amazing!  LOL!  Another Bugaboo digi for you today- can you tell I purchased a few over the holidays?!  I really love the images that I chose- they are super fun!

There are some different elements going on in this card...
The image colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor Pencils:
W0,1,2
C5,6,7 (Black Pencil)
R20,11,12,39
E53,55
Y26,28
B000026
E23,25,27
Glossy Accents were used on the stars and the mouth portion of the cow was printed a second time, colored, cut out and reattached to give it a 3D look.

Papers:
The base paper used on this was Echo Park Times and Seasons Collection
(Love, love, love the colors in this pack- I should have bought two,
but how much paper does one need?
DON'T ANSWER THAT...)
The strip going across the middle and top and bottom are all scraps from my stash.

Embellishments:
Red eyelets were used in two of the corners (honestly I can't remember the last time I used an eyelet on any project sooooo I'm kinda stoked!)
Twine was used to give the card a country feel.

My Mojo Returns in 2015

Life got a little crazy in 2014 and I had to take some time to step away from my blog to concentrate on things around here.  I pretty much lost my Mojo in 2014 and I'm looking forward to posting again and trying my hand at some new creations and contests.

I recently purchased this cute piggy from Bugaboo Stamps- there are some adorable images over there! This card is actually created for the troops and Operation Write Home.  If you don't know what that is, click on the link and check out how your card making can help our troops!!!

I started with a pretty simple design- in fact, I think the papers really made this card image pop!  I colored it up with my Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils.

Here's what I used:
Pig- R20,21,22 Prismacolor Sienna Brown
Sign W0,1,2
Shirt: Well, how do you like that?  I forgot to write that down...hmmm...B something
